Now that SAAM is distributed electronically, there is no need for a cover letter, as was the case in days gone by. Moreover, it is no longer necessary to go through the difficult, exacting and time-consuming chore of removing certain pages and inserting other pages on a page-by-page basis. Now, a section of SAAM as listed as a line item on the GAO Website may be printed in its entirety. If it is a new section, it should be added in the appropriate location of your binder. If the SAAM update replaces a previous section, merely remove the corresponding older section and replace it with the new. The entire section will now have a single revision date making it easier for users to determine whether all the pages in their binders are current. |
