A reminder of the upcoming target dates to close fiscal year 2002 for the State of Arizona.
Article:
YIKES! Fiscal year-end, like Christmas, always approaches so quickly. On April 5, 2002, GAO posted the closing instructions and transaction input dates on our web for fiscal year ending 2001 – 2002. (You may find this memo posted in the “Publications, AFIS Information” section of this WebSite). We would like to remind all State accounting managers of the upcoming deadlines for the month of May.
  1. Additions or changes to hierarchies (Org codes, Program codes, Indexes, PCA’s ,etc.) for FY 2003 are due to the General Accounting Office by May 17, 2002, 4:00 p.m. Any additions or changes should be coordinated with the agency’s AFIS liaison.
  2. Assuming the FY 2003 General Appropriations Act gets chaptered very soon, the FY 2003 Appropriation load documents are due to the General Accounting Office by May 24, 2002.
  3. Documents for FY 2002 appropriation adjustments must be delivered to the General Accounting Office by May 30, 2002, 4:00 p.m. These documents must be entered/released on-line by May 31, 2002, 4:00 p.m.
  4. Please also to keep in mind to place vendor orders early and work with them to receive goods or services previous to June 30, fiscal year-end. Early planning will minimize making any administrative adjustment requests. Please review the Year-End Closing Memo for more detail.
