This instructional webinar offers the opportunity to learn about powerful tools to advance government accountability by:

  • Detecting and preventing fraud;

  • Resolving recurring audit findings by getting to their root cause; and

  • Improving subrecipient monitoring.

The tools – developed by AGA's Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability (Intergovernmental Partnership) – are available at no charge.

  • Fraud Prevention ToolKit The ToolKit is an online resource that helps officials at any level of government detect, combat and prevent fraud.

  • Cooperative Audit Resolution and Oversight Initiative (CAROI) Based a number of key principles, the CAROI guide helps resolve audit findings and prevents them from reoccurring. The CAROI guide received an award from the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) in 2011, and is featured in the current issue of the Journal of Public Inquiry.

  • Risk Assessment Monitoring Tool - The tool provides states with a method of assessing subrecipient risk across federal granting authorities.
